With Autumn around the corner, we want to share a healthy twist on apples! Thanks to our friends at Infra, we are able to recreate the fall flavors of apple pie without fussing about the crust. This delicious recipe contains oats and brown sugar as healthy substitutes, and topped with cinnamon for added flavor! Enjoy while sitting around a campfire, or in the comfort of your own home!
Ingredients:
- 6 Organic Apples
- 1/2 Cup NOW Foods Rolled Oats
- 1/3 Cup Swerve Brown Sugar Replacement
- 1/2 Teaspoon Simply Organic Ground Cinnamon
- 4 Tablespoons Salted Butter
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine oats, brown sugar, butter and cinnamon in a small bowl until well mixed.
- Core apples, starting at the stem and core towards the base, leaving the bottom intact.
- Fill apples with oat mixture and arrange in an oven safe baking dish.
- Bake apples for 40 minutes or until knife tender.
